President of Republic receives Nigerian delegation

Chahid Al Hafed (refugee camps), March 5, 2014 (SPS) – President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz received a Nigerian ministerial delegation, which visited the Saharawi refugee camps, on Tuesday at the Presidency.
During the reception, President Mohamed Abdelaziz expressed the Saharawi people’s gratitude and appreciation for the efforts undertaken by Nigeria to stand by the side of the Saharawi people so to achieve their right to self-determination and independence.
He also deplored the treacherous terrorist attack against Nigerian students, occurred in parallel with the celebration of Nigeria’s amalgamation centenary.
He further underlined that allowing the Saharawi people to exercise their right to self-determination and independence “would actively contribute to building a united and stable Africa, free from poverty, terrorism and diseases.”
For her part, the Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, Oloye Olajumoke Akinjide, also special envoy of First Lady Patience Jonathan, voiced “unshakable solidarity” with the Saharawi people, especially children and women.
“The people of Nigeria are not blissful, until the Saharawi people obtain victory and independence,” added Ms. Akinjide.
