Four Norwegian citizens thrown out of occupied El Aaiun

El Aaiun (occupied territories), May 6, 2014 (SPS) - Four Norwegian citizens were thrown out of the occupied city of El Aaiun, capital of Western Sahara, by Moroccan occupying authorities at 00:00 am on Monday night.
The group was comprised of the Bergen Labour Party deputy Rasmus Laupsa Ramussen, former Bergen Young Labour leader Natalie Milde, Dan Marius Svendsen and Lone Lunemann.
In a dispatch obtained by SPS, one of the group said they were stopped around 2 PM by 10 plain-clothed Moroccan police officers, citing them as “unwelcomed people”.
The group was intending to interview Saharawi human rights activists regarding the plans of Kosmos Energy to carry out oil exploration in violation of the wishes of the people of the territory.
This is the third delegation to be deported from Western Sahara by Moroccan occupying authorities in the course of two weeks. (SPS)
