Harare (Zimbabwe) March 7, 2014 (SPS) - The Defense Minister of Zimbabwe, Dr. Sedney Tigere Sekeramayi, praised Wednesday the strength of relations between the Republic of Zimbabwe and the Sahrawi Republic, During a meeting with SADR ambassador to Zimbabwe Mohammed Saleh Daish, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense in the capital, Harare.The Defense Minister confirmed "the position of Zimbabwe is firm and unwavering in favour of the struggle of the Saharawi people for freedom and independence and will continue to defend this just cause in all international forums. "
The Minister expressed hope that "the international community, especially the UN and the African Union, will take practical steps to end the protracted suffering of the Saharawi people by exerting pressure on Morocco in order to implement the resolutions for the organization of a referendum on self-determination " .
