Algiers, April 23, 2015 (SPS) - Algeria and Mexico
on Wednesday reiterated support to a “just and durable” solution to the
question of Western Sahara providing for the right of the Saharawi
people to self-determination.“Concerning the question of Western Sahara, the two minister (Ramtane Lamamra and Jose Antonio Meade Kuribrena) reaffirmed support to the efforts of the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and his Personal Envoy, Christopher Ross, in order to reach a fair and durable political settlement providing for self-determination of the Saharawi people in accordance with the pertinent resolutions of the UN Security Council General Assembly,” stated a joint communiqué issued at the end of the working visit to Algeria by Mexican Foreign Minister.
Mexican FM visited Algeria along with an important delegation at the invitation of his Algerian counterpart, Mr. Ramtane Lamamra. (SPS)
