The President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front
Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz has sent congratulatory cable to his counterpart
of Zimbabwe, Mr. Robert Mugabe, on the occasion of the celebrations
marking the 35th anniversary of the independence of Zimbabwe.
President Mohamed Abdelaiz indicated that Zimbabwe, under Mugabe leadership, has made many “laudable achievements” in various domains towards attainment of more development, progress and prosperity, expressing confident that Zimbabwe’s Government and People are able to overcome the challenges facing the Country.
He, on behalf of the people and government of the Saharawi Republic (SADR), hailed the “overwhelming solidarity and generous support” Zimbabwe has constantly extended to the Saharawi people in their national struggle for self-determination and independence.
President Mohamed Abdelaziz seized the opportunity to renew SADR’s strong resolve to further consolidate and diversify the very strong bonds of friendship, solidarity and cooperation already existing between the two nations, and to expand them in the interests of two brotherly peoples and peoples of the African continent.

Excellency and Dear Brother,
On behalf of the Government and people of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic and on my behalf, I would like to extend to your Excellency and Dear Brother, and to the brotherly people of the of the Republic of Zimbabwe our most sincere congratulations and best wishes on the 35th Anniversary of the Independence..
The Republic of Zimbabwe, under your leadership, made many laudable achievements in various domains in the past years towards attainment of more development, progress and prosperity. We are confident that your Government and People are able to overcome the challenges facing the Country.
The Republic of Zimbabwe has always been a staunch supporter of the Sahrawi people and their legitimate cause. We are grateful for the overwhelming solidarity and generous support that your great country has constantly extended to our people in their national struggle for self-determination and independence.
The Saharawi Government and People have the full certainty in Your Excellency and your Country, as the Current Chairman of the African Union, to accelerate the process of decolonization of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic.
I would like to renew to Your Excellency and Dear Brother our strong resolve to further consolidate and diversify the very strong bonds of friendship, solidarity and cooperation already existing between our two nations, and we look forward to expanding them in the interests of our brotherly peoples and the peoples of our continent.
